Courtesy Reminder of your appointment
As a courtesy reminder of your appointment our receptionist will text or phone you if a longer appointment, 24-48 hours before your appointment.
Cancellation and Non-attendance
Please attend your appointment as a cancellation fee will apply for cancellations less than 24 hours’ notice (50-100% of the cancellation fee).
If we are Running late
We apologise if we are running late as emergencies will be given priority. Our receptionists will call you to let you know if we are running at least 30 minutes late. You are also welcome to call our receptionists to see how your doctor is progressing with their appointments.
Recall & Test Results
If your doctor needs to discuss results with you, you will receive an email asking to book a recall appointment with a GP via telehealth or in person. If we do not hear from you, we will call. On occasions, results come in on different days during the week. Hence you may receive an initial email stating no specific concerns but then receive an email about a different result a few days later asking you to book a follow up appointment. Please take note of this recall notice and book an appointment.
If you have any Urgent Results needing follow up, the receptionist will call you immediately to request an urgent follow up appointment be made with your GP, or the covering GP.
Doctors review test results regularly. If your doctor has no specific concerns regarding your Test results, they will usually send you an email letting you know there are no specific concerns about your results and will email you a copy of the test in most cases.
If you want further detailed information regarding your test results, please book a telehealth or in person appointment with a GP or discuss with the Doctor at your next routine visit.
Patient Reminder System
The Medical practice has a recall and reminder system for regular check-ups. You will receive an SMS to make an appointment.
Please ask our receptionist to include you on the register.
Clinical questions
All clinical health enquiries or questions please organise an appointment with your doctor, or covering doctor, via a telehealth, phone or face-to-face consultation. Please note according to Medicare guidelines, you must have seen a doctor at our practice face to face within 12 months if you require a telehealth or phone consultation.
Repeat Prescriptions / Referral letters
It is normal practice to see your GP face to face or via Telehealth or Phone consultation to get a new or repeat script or referral prior to your specialist appointment.
Please organise an appointment especially if you have not been seen at the practice within 6 months.
Repeat prescriptions may be given without an appointment at your doctor’s discretion.
- A repeat prescription costs $25 per script
- A repeat referral letter to a specialist will cost $35 at the discretion of the practitioner.
Privacy & Management of your Personal Health Information
Your medical health records are confidential documents. It is the policy of this practice to always maintain security of personal health information and ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff. You will be first notified if any third parties make any attempts to contact us about your personal details.
BetterConsult is integrated into our Best Practice Medical software.
Your doctor may use BetterConsult pre-consultation questionnaires to give you the time and privacy to accurately share important information that you wish to raise during the consultation- that includes your medical history, symptoms, and current medications.
By completing this secure questionnaire before your appointment, it helps your doctor be more efficient during your consultation focused on what matters most – discussing your concerns, treatment options, and health outcomes.
What to expect:
Before your appointment, you will receive an SMS with a secure link to complete a short multiple-choice online questionnaire for your doctor.
The link is safe to click; however, if you are ever unsure, please feel free to speak with our reception team.
This is what your text may look like as an example:
“Hi …., to assist with time, Dr ….would appreciate you filling this private form before your appt on …. ”

People with Disabilities
The premises are designed well for patients with disability. If you have any special needs, please discuss them with the receptionist when you ring for an appointment.
Interpreters / Translating Services
For patients who speak languages other than English, a telephone interpreter service can be used by dialling Translation and Interpreter Service phone number 131 450.
If you suffer a hearing, speaking & visual impairment you may wish to use the free service ‘National Relay Service’ phone number 133 677.
Medical fees
Payment of consultation is required on the day of consultation.
Please enquire with reception staff as fees are determined by the type of consultation and time spent with your doctor.
Medicare rebates apply for medical consultations.
All accounts are paid at the time of consultation by credit card, EFTPOS or cash.
Please note the policy of the practice is payment is required on the day of your consultation. We are grateful for your understanding and support.
